Results for the Railway Ultra – 6.8.16

This route gave runners the option of running 19, 27 or 36 miles.  Massey Runners Rachel & Cathy chose the 19 mile option.   The route took runners along the banks of the River Severn between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth along the discussed railway line with great views of the river.  Each out and back lap was 9.4 miles (4.7 miles one way).

Results for the Coast to Coast Ultra – 6-7.8.16

Dave Fawkner took part in this 140 mile challenge which is the first non-stop footrace across the UK from coast to coast.  The route starts in the North West at Whitehaven dock and follows the C2C cycle route.  Runners have just 38 hours to complete the route (with some heavy off road sections), traversing the hills of the Lake District and the Pennines to finally meet the North Sea at Tynemouth castle.  The route is a combination of country lanes, steep off road hills and cycle tracks.  Unfortunately Dave was unable to complete the whole race, but ran a fantastic 62 miles before retiring.


Results for the ‘Rock n Roll’ Dublin Half-marathon – 7.8.16

This course took runners from the Dublin Port area west towards Phoenix Park.  Runners ran past the Christ Church Cathedral, the Guinness Factory gates, Kilmainham Gaol and into the park at 8 miles.  There was then a winding 5 mile route around the park before the finish line appeared.

Results for the Cannock Chase 10k – 7.8.16

The Cannot Chase 10k offered runners an off-road route which boasts no concrete, no traffic, just nature, woodlands and peace.  The course took in some of Cannock’s finest scenery running through the heart of the forest.
